If it's not often, then you're safe. Most people have some residual brain activity that can manifest as voices, but unless you hear them consistently every day all the time for at least a year, then you're fine.

Well done, my friend!!!! My brother, my boyfriend's son, and a couple of good friends of mine deal with schizophrenia or schizo-affective disorder...it's good to have it brought out in the open, so that people with misconceptions about it can be educated...and understand that it's like any other health issue you might have to deal with...diabetes...cancer...arthritis...etc...it's not something you choose--it's not catching, and people who cope with all these things have good days and bad days--but they get by, with greater or lesser degrees of success and happiness in their lives--just as people who DON'T have to deal with mental or physical health issues do.

I must say...that by and large, the people I've known with schizophrenia are among the people I most respect, for their courage, their drive, their talent, and their determination.
