So, since I'm bored and sitting in Heathrow waiting for a connection, I figured I'd make a short tutorial. I've gotten some notes recently asking me how I get that sort of popular "oversharpened" look that reveals a lot of details and makes the highlights/shadows brighter and deeper.

So, this is it. It's pretty simple. You could probably make it into an action if you wanted. If you don't know how to make an action, then you should look it up, because it's fantastic.

Have fun with me! Let me know if you use it and/or have any issues/like it.

For the overlay do you use color overlay? I'm using cs3 on my mac and I just got it so I'm definately a noob. Any help would be lovely thanks!

Nope! Just regular overlay. It's on the layer styles panel. I took a screenshot for you!

Oh, psh, don't say that. Learning Photoshop can be a pain and there are STILL times where I forget where things are.
